Dr. Ali Bahaijoub
Dr. Ali Bahaijoub is a thought leader, lecturer, writer, journalist, and academic who has written numerous studies and feature articles on Africa, the Arab World, Europe, and international organizations. He also regularly comments on various current global issues for BBC Radio and TV, CNN, MBC, ANB, France24, TF2, 2M, RTM, PressTV, and other international networks.
He was the first Arab-African President of the London Foreign Press Association (1987-1989), the oldest press club in the world (founded in 1888), and he was Vice-Chairman of the British-Moroccan Society since its foundation 44 years ago.
Since 2007, he has been editor-in-chief of the global online daily northsouthnews.com, the international global news, and current affairs magazine “North-South” (www.northsouthmag.com) and Africa News Agency (www.africanewsagency.co.uk) as well as director-general of the center for Euro-Mediterranean and African Studies (www.cemas.org.uk). He is also chairman of the Association for International Travel and Tourism (www.aitt.london) or (www.aitt.org.uk)
Dr. Bahaijoub received a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London, United Kingdom in 1988 in History and International Relations. He writes academic papers and feature articles and comments on international topics in English, French, and Arabic. He is author of the recently published book Western Sahara Conflict: Historical, Regional, and International Dimensions. He is also editor and co-author with Guy Arnold of Encyclopaedia of Africa (North-South Books, 2014).
